Thirty teachers and administrators from four of ISG’s six schools took part in the Level 1 Compass Practitioner training at ISG Dhahran campus on the weekend of October 4-5 adding to the seventeen teachers and administrators that attended the Level 1 course in Jubail two weeks prior.

The level of engagement amongst the group was very high throughout the weekend and many people left with new insights and practical takeaways such as those exemplified below:

The content was applicable to our context and, on day 2, the content was aligned with our personal challenges so we were working directly on issues we were struggling with anyway.”

“This has deepened my thinking about why I am a teacher and what/how I should be teaching.”

“I found this to be one of the most interesting and useful PD sessions outside of my own subject domain in a very long time. Absolutely great.”

“Systems – that was useful. I facilitate adult learning – I got a lot of ideas on adult course facilitation through the activities that were done. I liked the challenge our team worked on – it is real and current so this was very timely.”

“Looking beneath the events on the Iceberg model. “simple solutions to complex problems could lead to new problems”. That stuck with me.”
